Usually filled with cubbies, shelves, hooks for jackets, and backpacks, they help keep the kids organized and mom a little more sane. We love how everyone chooses to decorate their mudrooms differently – bright colors for a fun and kid-friendly feel, a classic look with whites and traditional colors, a room filled with kid artwork, the possibilities are endless!

When winter rolls around, the mudroom gets stocked with boots, gloves, hats and scarves – no more digging around and searching for winter gear when leaving for school! A bulletin board with a calendar to keep track of activities and everyone’s schedule would be great in a mudroom, too. You could even include a washer and dryer, laundry basket, baskets for mail and keys in mudrooms to help keep the whole house organized. What could be better?
