BABY SHOWER TRENDS FOR THIS SEASON!
Aug 29th 2019
Whether you’re hosting, attending, or celebrating your own baby shower this summer, incorporate some fun and popular ideas to throw the trendiest party for the mom and baby-to-be! From decorations to food to gifts, I’ve rounded up some trends being seen at baby showers this season.
- Color scheme: Retro colors and lots of earth tones like kiwi greens, browns, and oranges are coming back into play – the perfect color palette for a gender neutral shower. Patterns like diagonal stripes and plaids are also fun to incorporate into the decor, as well as trendy patterns like bright stripes and chevrons!
- Baby Themes: “Bouquets” of diapers or baby socks make excellent (and adorable!) centerpieces for the table! Baby themed food and decor are becoming more popular to have at baby showers, as they are both cute and functional. Washcloth lollipops, diaper cakes,
onesies or socks strung around the room, and fruit carved and served like a baby in a carriage are some of my favorite baby themed items for a shower!
- Colorful Baby Shower Gifts: Bright, vibrant gift sets are ideal to give as a baby shower gift! The fun colors and personalization of the Seersucker Dotty set or the Blue Boy Bucket Gift Set are perfect to give to the new mom-to-be, she’ll love opening the pretty package of essentials and seeing her baby’s name! - Gender Reveal Parties: These parties are super trendy right now, either as a small get together among the parents-to-be’s family and friends, or a big soiree taking place of the traditional baby shower. The baby’s gender is revealed by slicing into a cake, balloon decorations, food or drink at the party, and much more. Read about a Baby Be Hip customer’s cute gender reveal party, and another BBH customer sent us the adorable video below of her family slicing into the cake to reveal the baby’s gender!
