What are the names of your kids and how did you choose their names?

My daughter’s name is Sydney Rachel and she is named after my grandmother, Shirley Rachel and my husband’s grandmother Roslyn. My son’s name is Zachary Benjamin, and he is named after my grandfather (also Zachary Benjamin).

The best piece of advice you have ever received:

To be patient. And, of course, to enjoy every moment with my kids since they get big so quickly.

What is some good parenting advice or tips you would give to new moms?

Pick your battles – it’s okay to worry about the important things and trust your instincts (health, safety, etc.), but try to stay relaxed about the less important things.

If you had one free day all to yourself, what would you do?

Manicure/pedicure and spend time with my husband and friends (and actually be able to talk and relax!).

What is your favorite way to spend time with your kids and family?

My favorite time of day is when I give my son his last bottle of the night and my daughter sits with my husband in the room with us and he reads her a story (or she attempts to “read” one to us).

Which Baby Be Hip product is your favorite to send as a gift?

A tote bag with burp cloths and a bib (like The Pretty in Pink Set). Every gift is beautiful and the customer service can’t be beat.
