1) What are the names of your kids and how did you choose their names?

We have 1 baby boy named Donald Jeffrey Baxter. We got the name Donald which means World leader from his Dad and Grandfather who are both named Donald. We went the traditional route. It felt right. His middle name is Jeffrey after my dad.

2) The best piece of advice you have ever received:

Nothing is permanent. (Said by my husband) When you think your kid will never sleep through the night all of a sudden the next week they do. This also refers to the good stuff. When you think you have it all figured out they throw you a curve ball. Everything is always changing, so enjoy it all because none of it is permanent and it goes by so fast!

3) What is some good parenting advice or tips you would give to new moms?

Find balance between being a scheduled parent and a flexible one. I do believe kids need consistency, but they also need to learn to be flexible and adjust to your schedule on occasion.

4) If you had one free day all to yourself, what would you do?

I’d start with sleeping in past 7am. Then I’d spend some time at the spa getting pampered and go shopping for some new clothes. Then I’d plan a really nice dinner for my husband since I enjoy cooking and don’t get to do it as much these days.

5) What is your favorite way to spend time with your kids and family?

Laying in the bed with my husband and son watching him roll around and crawl all over us. He loves being on the bed. It’s like a huge bouncy room for babies.

6) What are some of your interests?

I make crocheted beanies called Hippie Helmets which are a “hug for your head”. 

7) Which Baby Be Hip product is your favorite to send as a gift?

The bib and the personalized burp cloths set. I work for a musical instrument distributor so I buy them as gifts for our artist when they have babies. I love sending such a personalized gift for the same cost as a bouquet of flowers would be. It’s a GREAT deal!
