What are the names of your kids and how did you choose their names?

My daughter’s name is Ellie Carol. We picked Ellie after looking at names on the social security website. It was one of the few names that my husband and I agreed on. Carol, Ellie’s middle name, is after my mom.

The best piece of advice you have ever received:

From the second I got pregnant until now, it feels like all I ever get is advice, even if unsolicited! But the best piece of advice would have to be that no one is perfect, so don’t try to be! We all have our moments and it is so much easier to laugh about them than to stress over them.

What is some good parenting advice or tips you would give to new moms?

It is so cliché, but it does go so fast so enjoy every second of it. Looking back, I even miss some of those late night feedings.

If you had one free day all to yourself, what would you do?

Sleep! And spend some time with my girlfriends.

What is your favorite way to spend time with your kids and family?

Just at home, together. It is so rare that we get to just lounge around the house and be silly together, but those end up being some of the best moments.

What are some of your interests?

I love reading. I’ve recently gotten very into spinning and love the classes at Flywheel.

Which Baby Be Hip product is your favorite to send as a gift?

Set of personalized burp cloths. There is nothing glamorous about burping a baby, but it somehow feels fun when you take out a beautiful burp cloth to do it!
