HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH FROM THE TOOTH FAIRY?
Aug 24th 2019
A huge milestone in growing up, as we all know, is losing your baby teeth. Not only does it mean you’ve officially reached “big kid” age, but it also means that there’s a good chance the Tooth Fairy may pay you a visit! For parents, this means an important decision needs to be made: how much will the Tooth Fairy leave under their child’s pillow for that little baby tooth? More importantly, how much is too much to leave?
In recent years, the price seems to have risen a bit – from quarters, to dollar bills, to even a crisp twenty being left! To get a grasp on what the going rate is these days, we posted the question to our Facebook and Twitter pages to see what price other parents were paying.
The most popular answer that we received was $5 for the first tooth, and $1 for every tooth after that, which we think is a very fair price, as it makes the kids excited and keeps the magic in the Tooth Fairy, without breaking your bank. Some went as high as $20 for the first tooth! But no matter what the price you pay, it’s important to remember the fun in it all while it lasts (after all, they only have so many baby teeth!)
And to add some extra fun when the Tooth Fairy makes a visit, we found a cute idea on Pinterest for “Tooth Fairy money” covering the dollar (or dollars) in glitter, making it sparkle and look like it’s really from the Tooth Fairy! How cute is that?
